Also known as Clematis macropetala Lagoon or Blue Lagoon, this is a more compact form of the group and it can repeat flowering into summer.
This is one of the earliest and most profuse flowering Clematis. Deep blue flowers with paler staminoides give the appearance of double blossoms. Begins bloom in April, and continues into June. Decorative silky seed heads are attractive summer and fall.
