Scabra is a big, slightly blowsy old-fashioned shrub, reaching 10 feet tall, maybe half that wide, with open, arching branches. Foliage is liberally splashed with irregular white variegation that is most pronounced on the new growth. In late spring/early summer, loads itself down with dense 3-6 inches panicles of pure white flowers.
