Nursery contributed plant descriptions

P. tomentosum. A favorite for its delightfully intense minty aroma and large, velvety leaves. Feathery white blossoms complete the show.
Minty-fresh, smooth and velvety, and sure to become one of your favorite scenteds. Add to container plantings for foliage interest and fragrance.
Has large grape shaped leaves, very fuzzy with a true mint scent...cascading growth habit..white flowers with purple veins.
A picture can't quite capture why we love this plant. Visually you can sense the softness of its large velvet green foliage, but you need to rub its leave to appreciate its delicious minty scent. P. tomentosum can become quite large as a specimen in the open garden, but it stays a reasonable 2' x 2' plant in containers, especially if you are always pinching off the leaves for scented bouquets.
