Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Beautiful foliage and a heavenly scent make this Gardenia a masterpiece of creation. A vigorous grower, the leaves are a palette of greens and whites that boast year-round beauty to any container. The double-white blossoms carry that famous rich fragrance from spring through summer. This is the best variegated cultivar we've grown to date, due to its vigor and freeness to flower.
Beautiful variegated leaves of green, white, creamy yellow. Pure whte fragrant flowers on a bushy growth habit. Likes sun to part shade, keep moist. Extremely fragrant.
The striking white, cream, and green variegated foliage of this Gardenia will brighten any semi-shaded garden area year round. The 2-3" fragrant white blooms are hard to spot against that tapestry of foliage. These old garden favorites are still commonly referred to as Cape Jasmine or Cape Jessamine in many southern gardens but no matter what you call them the fragrance is unforgettable. Gardenias perform best in a fertile, well-drained, humus rich, acidic soil with average moisture. They seem to do best in hot southern regions where they get some midday or afternoon shade but need good light for the best flower production. Provide your Gardenias with good air circulation to minimize pest infestations. In the northern most reaches of their range they will benefit from protection from cold winter winds. Gardenias make good container plants and can be enjoyed indoors where not winter hardy. Prune after flowering.
I know people like gardenias for the flowers, but I don't like the smell. Still, I love this gardenia because of the foliage. Looks fresh and clean all summer, evergreen, so the same goes for most all but the harshest winter.
