This attractive, vigorous, suckering shrub (8-12') always looks good throughout the growing season with its cheerful bright yellow to yellow-green foliage which contrasts beautifully with its clusters of white summer flowers which become blue-black fruits loved by birds and wine or pie makers! This hardy variety is a multistemmed broad and rounded shrub with spreading and arching branches. 'Aurea' will mature at 12'. The foliage is golden yellow with 12" pinnate leaves consisting of 9 lance-shaped leaflets. The flowers are 8" flattened panicles of white and bloom in midsummer. In autumn, red fruit appears and attract birds. Because of the yellow foliage plant this one in partial shade.
