Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Good for understock for grafting tree gooseberries; hardly any fruit.
This is a cross between a black currant and a gooseberry. Ripening mid-season with large, blue-black fruits. Shrub is thornless and is resistant to most fungal disorders. Fruit is rich in vitamin C and great for jams, jellies and juices. Will tolerate afternoon shade.
