Medium sized leaves are elliptic or obovate-elliptic, fringed with distinctive hairs along edge when young, glabrous, the underside with dense layer of scales. Fragrant flowers, to 3" long, are funnel-bell-shaped, with nice substance, in loose clusters of 4 blooms. They are creamy white to pale yellow, perhaps yellow blotched, occasionally red spotted.
