Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Pink buds open pink with a light pink in the throat. Prominent red spotting in the upper lobe. Very unique, semi-glossy, narrow foliage is attractive year-round. *There is some question on the cross since it would make it an azaleodendron, but until it is finalized I'll leave it as it is.
This is an interesting plant that you will want to grow for its foliage. The leaves are long and narrow, a rich green and somewhat shiny. It gives an added texture to the other green leaves in the garden. Actually, I question if it actually is the above cross, which would make it an azaleodendron, but more likely another form of ponticum 'Cheiranthifolium'. Though the above parentage would say that occidentale was the seed parent, I doubt it was and in actuality ponticum was, and that seed grown from it resulted in another of the many narrow leaved forms of ponticum. (occidentale x ponticum)
