Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Large trusses of light pink flowers with brown spotting in the upper lobe. Has been around for a long time having been developed in 1909 and has continued to win awards for many years after that. Something not many rhododendrons can lay claim to.
Flowers are light pink with brown spots. An oldie but goody that has stayed around and kept winning awards through the years. It was developed in 1909, received an Award of Merit in 1933 and then a First Class Certificate as late as 1955. Most hybrids win something only when they are new, never to be heard from again! Super vigorous with lush foliage. Sun and heat tolerant. ('Coombe Royal' x 'Catawbiense Grandiflorum')
