This is an incredible Asian pear also known as 'Olympic' or 'Don Bae'. Featuring wonderfully unique high quality fruit which can grow as large as a grapefruit and weigh more than a pound! The crisp and juicy, round, light brown pears are borne in abundant crops which ripen in early October. This cultivar is a good storage type with fruit that keeps until March; it is also a precocious bearer. This pretty tree reaches 10-12' and is fireblight resistant. Requires a pollinizer, 'Chojuro' and 'Shinseki' are good choices. This variety requires 400 chill hours. S/M
