Fast growing, narrow, upright tree with long and slender blue-green needles an excellent soft textured conifer.
Even though this ubiquitous columnar form of Eastern white pine was introduced in Germany in the 1880's, the popularity of columnar pines makes obtaining quality landscape-size plants difficult. The tall, narrow tree with long, blue-green needles can grow as much as 18" a year.
Erect branches on an erect tree tapering to a pointed top. The needles are even straight. Eventually it will grow to 40' while being only 10' wide. An excellent form of the Eastern White Pine.
