Variable, slow growing five-needle pine, 2-8 ft. tall at maturity. Shrubby, quite handsome. Excellent rock garden plant and substitute for horticulturally inferior, but common Mugho pine.
This is also called a Dwarf Siberian Pine. A form growing to only 3 to 5'. This shrub has great beauty. The blue-green foliage is accentuated by red cones. Grows 3-6" per year and occasionally prostrate in growth.
