Twisted blue-green needles, rough (?warty?) bark, and a dwarf irregular growth habit make this Japanese selection a superior bonsai, or a delightful garden accent. S/M
A rough bark pine with long (3") blue needles. Used for bonsai, but has an excellent place in the landscape!
A long needled form with conspicuous rough warty bark, a dense branching habit and good greenish blue color first seen in the west around 1976, it looks great padded out to display the bones.
This nice plant has an irregular upright habit that gives it a bushy look. Adds 6-12" per year. Twisted blue needles adorn the compact branches, which end in a long bud.
