Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Pinus nigra ' Black Prince ' - A dwarf variety of Austrian Pine. Plant grows in a squatty ball. Leaves are a very dark green. Buds are white. Plant grows about 3 inches a year. Very tight and nice.
A very small clone introduced by Don Hatch and considered by many to be a hybrid with thunbergii, under any name a spectacular plant (cheesy car crown sold separately).
DWARF. Possibly a hybrid of P. thunbergii, this P. nigra is a very compact form. Short, dense whorls of mid-green needles seem almost like daisies looking up at you. It is also a slow grower.
