Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A dwarf spreading form with dense branching when young and globose as it ages. Popular throughout the United States because it can grow nicely on it's own roots.
Zones: 2-9. A true small needled dwarf pine! Developed here in Oregon. Branches and needles so thick it looks like a green cushion. Ideal for LiveScale© settings, rock gardens, Bonsai, Saikei, and troughs. Well branched. Not grafted. Our Valley Cushion is on self root for strong growth. These are the best for Ishisuki (root over rock) as they produce exceptionally long roots. Photos show older plant trained in the Ishisuki style. Shipping size: 4-6 inches. MINIATURE
A low growing plant found by Tichnor and introduced by Mitch, a great plant for general landscape use.
Mounded globe shape slow 3-5" /yr. Good in containers or rock garden. USDA zones 2-9.
MINIATURE. This is another plant from the Oregon State University selection program. It is exceptional for its tight, low growth and deep green needles which cover the plant so tightly, it looks like a cushion. Very special!
