Needles which are finer, shorter and closer to the stem (than P. a. Pendula) give this beauty a compact, tidier, ?classier? appearance; staking to the desired height forms both a lovely upright accent and/or graceful groundcover! S-PSh
This fascinating dwarf conifer has an interesting weeping habit which flows down to the ground. Eventually it produces a carpet of evergreen foliage. The short needles and tight branches give this tree a tidy, uniform look. Great for use as a specimen. Height largely depends upon staking. Growth Rate medium
Picea abies 'Formanek' - This narrower form of Weeping Norway Spruce offers a strictly pendulous habit with a full, spreading skirt and a slower growth rate. A finer texture is the result of shorter, slender, medium green needles. Use this choice selection for landscapes with limited space. Introduced by A. Haller Nursery, Switzerland in 1973.
This is a green needled, vigorous, upright when staked, pendulous weeper. It grows 6-12" per year.
