Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This lovely deciduous shrub produces flowers with many, many (20-30!) petals which stay open making it look much like a waterlily creating a wonderful form of the always-deservedly-popular 10-20' Star Magnolia it produces its highly fragrant pink-tinged flowers from darker-pink buds 1-3 weeks later than the species extending the bloom time; perfect for specimen, foundation or hedges. S/M
This M. stellata cultivar has double the number of tepals that the species has. The white flowers have a pink flush when they open. The plant will get 15-20’ and have a huge mass of flowers.
Tends to be pinker in bud than most, and quite hardy. It's a bushy upright tree, fragrant, and late blooming.
When the blooms of many other magnolias start to fade, 'Waterlily's' pale pink buds open, revealing fragrant, white semidouble flowers with more than 32 petals! Habit is narrow and upright. One of our best sellers!
