Nursery contributed plant descriptions

M. denudata x M. stellata 'Waterlily'. This Joe McDaniel hybrid grows in front of Roger's house. Probably the oldest tree anywhere and is 30'x20'. The creamy white flowers have multi tepals and cover the beautiful tree in March.
Sharing habit characteristics with its parent M. denudata, 'Pristine' grows as a deciduous tree or large shrub, reaching 35-50'. Unlike many magnolias with white blooms, its blooms are pure, showing no trace of pink or chartreuse, it's the purest white we've seen. The plant performs well in the Northeast as well as the South. A real beauty!
