Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Huge 5-10" deep yellow 8-9 tepal flowers grace this wondrous 15-25' upright tree before the leaves but late enough to miss most frosts; a August Kehr hybrid of ?Woodsman? and ?Sundance?. S/M
Deep yellow, large cup-shaped flowers on this tetraploid selection selected by August Kehr. More intense yellow in bloom color and upright in habit than Butterflies or Elizabeth. Blooms late, due to its M. acuminata parentage, so it is seldom devastated by late frost.
This hybrid from August Kehr is deep yellow, with huge flowers of up to 9-10" in diameter and 8-9 tepals on each flower. Although flowering before leafing out, it is one of the latest blooming magnolias of this color. This tree has a very upright habit. A glorious tree!
