Liquidambar styraciflua 'Variegata' is a moderate-growing, slow-growing broadleaf deciduous tree with gold, green, variegated and white foliage. In spring chartreuse and green flowers emerge followed by brown fruit. Attracts birds. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and even moisture - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in acidic, average, clay, gritty, rich, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant, humidity tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.
