A conical shaped conifer with bright yellow exterior foliage and blue-green interior foliage coloring.
Like a golden-leaved miniature Italian Cypress, this dense, columnar, 6-8' shrub is excellent for formal landscapes. Blue if not in full sun. S/M-D
Gold cone juniper is a narrow, columnar evergreen shrub with golden new foliage that holds its color throughout the year.  This juniper stays small in comparison to other evergreens.  Gold cone is an interesting plant for small spaces in the landscape and works well in containers.
Narrow, compact, upright evergreen column 4-5’ (6-8’) tall and 18-24” wide; bright golden foliage late spring and summer, lime in fall and winter. Moderate grower, full sun for brightest color display. Soil tolerant (takes clay, but not summer wet). Deer resistant, drought tolerant... at home in the rock garden, shrub border or container specimen!
Its common name appropriately describes why this tree earned its popularity. It has brilliant golden new growth, which turns back to bright green during the summer. Upright, conical growth habit. Growth Rate medium
Zones: 3-10. A narrow gold column similar in shape to the Dwarf Irish Juniper but with golden tips, faster growing, taller and wider with age. A recent introduction from New Zealand. About 4-6' x 1' at 10 years, larger with age. Grows in a wide range of heat and cold. Shipping size: 6-8".
Extremely popular upright bright yellow Eastern Common Juniper. This wonderful shrub is trouble free and easy to grow in the landscape. Gold Cone, on its own will grow a eye catching, bright yellow pillar. It is also very popular for container and rock gardening because it can be easily pruned and kept in a dwarf form. Found in Germany about 1980.
A narrow column whose new growth emerges bright yellow. Slow growing but faster than 'Compressa' at 10' tall will only be 2' across. Shown above at about 10 years old.

Here are the good things about Junipers: they are hardy and easy to grow. Here are the bad things: they continue to get larger long after you are sick of them. But no, Gold Cone stays small (6-8'), upright and compact and all the good things still apply.
MINIATURE. This upright growing column has a slow growth habit. The dense branches hold stiff needles of bright golden-yellow which turn ever so slightly upwards at the ends.
