Tiny leafed beautiful climbing cousin of petiolaris. Tiny leaves but bright white lacy blooms on this rare Korean climbing hydrangea. Leaves are even smaller than our Brookside Littleleaf hydrangea. Leaf size does grow with age but still a fantastic climber with fall color and winter interest with its corky bark. Like the wonderful cousins, this one grows in part sun/shade with cooler root locations. I think this would be a fun climber for a big container as it stays somewhat smaller than the other cousins.

From Spring meadow who originally acquired it as Schizophragma 'Brookside Littleleaf' we got it primarily to compare with our plants of Brookside and also with Hydrangea quelpartensis, we have not had time to sort things out; the lack of flowers makes this a bit tough and I keep forgetting to ask Tony.
This large (to 20-30') vine offers a new choice in texture with its dainty tiny-leaved foliage (leaf size may increase with maturity). PSh/Med
This 20-30' vine differs from the species in that the lustrous, dark green leaves are distinctly different. They are generally larger; 2-4" long and are pointier. Flowers are identical, however, to ssp. petiolaris.
