Most ginkgos grow with a rather stiff, upright branch pattern (at least in youth). This selection offers a more spreading and horizontal habit and, though not exactly weeping, is a lovely form; same great fall color. S/M
Since most ginkgos are stiffly erect in habit, this one whose limbs are more horizontal, is called Pendula which is a stretch. Same gold in fall , tho. Zone 4.
The weeping character of this tree is not as clearly defined as with other weeping trees. The branches do have a more horizontal character than the species.
