A minature form for the rock garden, or any place a tiny neat evergreen is desired. Vilmoriniana grows into a tight globe shape with out pruning. Grows only 2 to 3 inches per year to 18 -24" in ten years. First imported from Japan in 1904 by Phillippe Vilmorin. Awards: Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.

DWARF. This is a popular plant variety with a compact, roughly globular bush form. Only grows to 3' with very neat foliage and closely recurved leaves. Very similar to the 'Compressa' variety and can often be confused as such. The main differences being slightly less curved leaves, tidiness, and winter coloring.
