An evergreen mushroom!, this dwarf dome-shape conifer makes a slow-growing (to 2' tall x 3' wide in 10 years) accent sure to draw comment. S-PSh/M
This large, globose shrub has coarse-textured green foliage that turns an bronze-purple color in winter. Such an interesting winter coloration that pairs nicely with brighter colors.
Justly named, 'Mushroom' forms a mop-like top, which requires no pruning to keep its shape. Prefers moist well drained acid soil, full sun.
As attractive in winter as during the growing season. This dwarf mound of soft, green foliage gives way to a beautiful and striking bronze color when the temperatures drop in late fall. As with many of the cryptomerias protect from desiccating winter winds. Photo taken in January shows winter color.
DWARF. A small mushroom like Japanese Cedar with wiry and short foliage that turns purple color in winter. This cultivar is listed to -10° rather than the -20° of many Cryptomerias.
