Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Clusters of small but exceptionally bright yellow flowers appear very early in spring on this stellar 15-20' tree. The blooms on this unusual cultivar are followed by large (1") golden-yellow (rather than red) fruits. The fruit have been used for centuries in tarts and cordials and are loved by the birds if not harvested. Planting the red and yellow varieties together creates a stunning contrast. S/M
The golden fruit of this variety is sweetly acerbic. Great for jams and compote.
