Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Thriving in heat, coreopsis can easily take prolonged temps in the 90s, for it has thread-like leaves that transpire less water than their more well-endowed leafy brethren. Plant in masses to show off the large white flowers with burgundy eyes. Well-drained soils, shear if they get "seedy" for continuing bloom all summer and fall.
'Jive' PPAF produces masses of white flowers with a large, saturated burgundy eye and an orange center. The burgundy eye is the dominant color. Coreopsis is easy to grow, making it a good choice for beginners.
