General Sikorskiproduces a profusion of large 6 to 8-inch dark lavender blooms in early summer then repeats again in September. This vine also performs well in containers. Originally from Poland and called Jadwiga Teresa. Low maintenance and free-flowering!
Gold soaked frilly centers heighten the lavish and lengthy showing of large, well rounded mauve-blue flowers, which span some 6 in. across. Gracing lance-shaped deciduous leaflets, long narrow tapered buds herald the marvelous blooms, each described by 6 or 8 broadly overlapping tepals with subtly notched margins and red-tinged bases. An award winning, compact Polish cultivar whose blossoms and fluffy seed clusters make first-class additions to cut arrangements, the robust 'General Sikorski' can be trained up an obelisk or pergola alongside climbing roses, or sited in a container as a colorful summertime specimen.
A profusion of the large mauve to bluish purple flowers of this dark beauty are absolutely stunning and are typically born in late spring to mid summer. A vigorous and easy large flowered Clematis. Pruning group 2 - prune immediately after flowering to promote reblooming. An excellent choice for container gardens too! Item# 9439. Clematis are often long-lived perennial vines that can live for 50 years+. These small-medium sized vines like conditions where their head is in the sun and their 'feet' are in the shade. A deep mulch, groundcover, or even a rock can provide the cool root zone that these easy perennials prefer.
Charming scalloped edges distinguish this medium blue flower from other blooms. Gold stamens add drama to the 6-8" reddish tinted petals. [Group B, June & October]
