Blooms early summer and fall. The petals are darker around the edges, with lighter pink or white stripe in the center. Each flower will be about 8"! Prune lightly in early spring. This plant was one of the American Clematis Society's Top 10 Clematis for 1997.
Clematis Asao has large 6 to 8 inch bright pink rimmed flowers with a thick band of white in the middle of the petals. The foliage often takes on a bronzy color in the spring.
