Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Columnar conifer that grows nice and straight - up to 7 feet. This guy can handle some wet, boggy soil...which is unusual for conifers. Medium green foliage turning to a beautiful plum purple in winter. Growth Rate medium
The native “Eastern White Cedar” typically grows to a large tree, pyramidal in shape. It is very hardy and usually inhabits marshy damp ground. But, in this case, it's a Dwarf globe with soft blue-green foliage. Gorgeous plum color in winter. It has small, feathery leaves, forming a dense, but very light textured mound, a rounded pyramid. A fresh, soft apple green in summer. A great, slow growing form with all juvenile foliage.

This terrific conifer has been well named. Its soft appearance is similar to heather. It grows in a round bun-shape with feathery foliage that begs to be touched! During the summer the dusky blue-green on the interior seems coated on the outer surfaces with rosy bronze tones. Winter deepens the colors to a rich purple. An excellent plant to put with a golden foliaged conifer for a great contrast in the winter garden. Grows 6-12" a year and tolerates shearing.
