Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Dark pink-red buds open to become masses of tiny, fuchsia, pea-like flowers which cover the bare branches of this handsome 15-25' tree/shrub in spring. After the bloom attractive, heart-shaped, blue green foliage is an appealing sight. The leaves turn a lovely golden-yellow in fall; this is a perfect specimen for woodland's edge, small yard, or anywhere! S-PSh/M
Appalachian Red as you might guess is the reddest of the Redbud flowers; With profuse flowering on a vigorous hardy tree, this one is a winner. The size shown is what you actually would get.
This is a small open tree considered to be the truest red of all the cultivars in the genus. It was discovered by Dr. Max Byrkit. We are proud to offer this beautiful and outstanding brilliantly colored tree, a wonderful sight in any garden setting.
