Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This gorgeous and rare tree is found only in Cyprus. It is quite similar to the Cedar of Lebanon with its beautiful, picturesque, horizontal branching, but as 'brevifolia' (small foliage) implies, it is more diminutive in all aspects with shorter needles, smaller cones and an ulitimate height of only 40-50' or so. This is delightful specimen for bonsai and very good held in containers for many years. S/M-D/GDr
This slow growing species known as the Cyprus Cedar has neat, tiny, bluish green foliage. It remains quite small in the landscape for many years but eventually can attain heights of 50 to 80 feet. It's especially well suited for a container and/or bonsai. Native only to Cyprus, this is not a common plant. It definitely sports an alpine appearance making it suitable for a large rock garden.
