Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Prolific 3-4" beautifully ruffled, fully-double flowers of a soft clear-pink bloom in winter to early spring on this eye-catching shrub. The blossoms are a wonderful contrast to its glossy emerald-green evergreen foliage. This 6-8' shrub is perfect for a hedge and makes a wonderful and unique espalier! Truly a class act. PSh/M
Often used in corsages because of its impressive flower size, this turn-of-the-century camellia has luscious, peony-formed, double pink blossoms that appear in late fall and winter. IT can be grown in outdoor gardens in zones 7 and higher, or in containers if you live in northern zones. This prolific bloomer won't disappoint you with its flower power.
One of the longest flowering Camellias in our garden, Debutante produces frilly double medium pink 3" flowers from late winter to mid-late spring. Debutante is also considered to be fairly tolerant of full sun. Camellias are the rose of winter in southern gardens, with their colorful blossoms held against deep rich green glossy foliage on a naturally upright to rounded evergreen shrub. Pick the flowers and float them in a bowl of water to bring their beauty indoors. Camellias prefer an acidic, humus rich soil with an organic mulch and average moisture. Once well-established they need little additional care and will continue to perform for years to come. Most Camellias do best where they get light shade or morning sun and the light filtered shade of pines seems to be perfect.
Sweet pink peony form flowers remind one of a ballerina's tutu! A heavy bloomer, from early to midseason, and tolerant of more sun than most japonicas.
