Akebia quinata 'Shirobana' is a fast-growing broadleaf deciduous or semi-evergreen vine with green foliage. In spring white flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and regular - occasional water. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and humidity tolerant.

Lovely cascades of fragrant white spring flowers are followed by white fruit on this vigorous (20-30') vine with its dark-green, 5-fingered foliage; a very attractive vigorous climber. S-PSh/M
A decorative, twining climber with attractive leaves and flowers. The leaves are divided into five leaflets. The white flowers appear in clusters and smell like chocolate.
Shiro Bana is an unusual white flowered selection of Akebia quinata. The spicy scented white flowers are born in early spring on this vigorous, semi-evergreen vine. Blooms may be followed by 4" long fruit. For the best fruit production its best to plant two different varieties or seedlings and some recommend hand pollination to ensure fruit set. Akebia has the potential to be invasive in some regions, please check with your local county extension agent before planting.
This vine is semi-evergreen in warmer climates. It has very pleasing bluish-green foliage and racemes of very fragrant white flowers. Fast growing to 15 to 20'.
