Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Colorful new growth has a mix of apricot tones and light-green color. The leaves and buds are quite densely-arranged, giving this slow-growing maple a congested appearance.
Heavily branched, tiny palmate leaves, slow growth and more drought tolerance: that spells perfect for bonsai, container and rock garden; this small (to only 6') dwarf will be enjoyed! S-PSh/M
The tightly-spaced leaves emerge pale green with pale-pink hues. Mature leaves are green with red edging. Striking yellow-orange in fall.
Absolutely one of the most exciting new varieties. Ryusen is unlike any other Japanese Maple. Beautiful star like palmate leaves on heavy weeping branches. Ryusen is extremely vigorous and puts on a real show if it is staked up and then allowed to weep down, creating a beautiful waterfall effect. Fall color is orange.
New growth pink over pale green, turns green summer, fall orange & yellow. Good in containers. Zones 6-9.
Ryuzu is a charming dwarf with bunchy leaves and an ever changing color show. When I say dwarf, I mean short and sloooow.
DWARF, green. A delightful dwarf suitable for bonsai as well as for planting in the rock garden. It has very small palmate type leaves that have faint shades of pink on the new foliage, gradually turning green. The edges of the leaves are serrated, and the tip of these serrations is often brick-red. The leaf nodes are closely spaced. Makes a heavily branched plant.
