A truly magnificent sight to really standout in the landscape! The round leaves of this 8-15' shrub keep their brilliant golden color from spring until autumn when they turn spectacular shades of coral, orange and red. This is a very unique shrub which is even showier in summer when it produces its wonderful pinkish panicles of 'smoke'. S/M-D PP13082

Exciting and unique form of smoke bush. The more sun, the more intense gold the leaves become. Flowers appear in mid to late summer and are smoke-colored plume-like panicles. Vivid autumn colors of coral, orange and red. Dutch origin. Incredible new introduction. Grows 8' tall in full to filtered sun.
Hallmarked by a lambent-leafed spectacle bridging three seasons and signature gauzy panicles, this new upright Cotinus makes a dynamic mainstay for any garden. Young leaves emerge a lime-green color, turn a brilliant golden hue in summer, and then broadcast a glorious m
Unusual for its yellow to lime-green summer foliage, and soft grey smoky flowers. A small tree, it grows best in full sun and closes out the summer with fall colors of pink, red, and orange.
A gold leafed Smoke Bush. Grows 6-10 feet tall and as wide, but can be easily pruned to be a more compact bush, even small enough for patio containers. Flame colored buds in spring with frothy inflorescences of smoke-like panicles in midsummer. New leaves are a golden color, gradually turning a lighter, golden-lime color by summer. Fall color is red, orange and gold. Full sun is best and well drained but moist soil. Doesn't like soggy roots. Hardy to zone 4. Plant Patent #13,082.

Brilliant yellow to lime-yellow leaves, rosy plumes, gold, orange, red, fall colors. Hardy to zone 5.
A golden leaved form of Smokebush, recently introduced from Europe, that reaches 6-8' with good leaf color all season, turning brilliant shades of coral and orange in fall, scorching only when dry conditions prevail. Dusky clouds of blossoms in June-July. 20-24" plants for spring shipping.

Gold Leaf Smoke Tree. Those clever Dutch have come up with another good one. All the great attributes of the regular Smoke Tree but with gold leaves which are especially stunning. Will burn in afternoon sun so morning or dappled sun. Flame colored buds erupt into a cloud of smokey flowers. Great fall color. Deer resistant.

Making the rounds for a couple of years now, this mid-sized smoke bush, growing to about 8 ft, has the richest golden-yellow leaves, that, rather than toasting in our hot summers, burnish an ever-so-slight orange...we like that! Dense foliage produces airy pink flowers that suggest the common name of smoke bush and brilliant fall foliage colors of pink, orange, and yellow. Growing 8+ ft x 8 + ft and flowering in May-July, the shrubs like full sun to part shade, lean, well-drained soil, and some summer water - though quite drought tolerant once established. Can sulk in heavy wet clay or too much fertility. Easily stooled to create an exuberant perennial. Frost hardy in USDA zone 5.

Deciduous shrub 7' x 7' with fetching golden-chartreuse round leaves that transform into shades of apricot orange in autumn.
Discovered in the Netherlands by Sjaan Sanders. Golden Spirit is particularly unique for its spring foliage that ranges from lime green to a brilliant gold color. Excellent fall foliage color in shades of coral, orange and red. The foliage does not scorch in full sun unless exceptionally dry conditions prevail. Has not been observed to flower. Grows to about 8 feet high and 6 feet wide. At the 1999 Plantarium, 'Golden Spirit' won the award for the Best New Plant Introduction.
