This is a maple of rare beauty! Conspicuous veins of deep-green stand out in the deeply lobed and toothed leaves of soft- cream edged with shrimp-pink. This smallish, 6-12' vase-shaped tree/shrub makes an outstanding specimen and is wonderful in a large container. PSh-Sh/M
Peaches and Cream Japanese Maple has heavily variegated leaves with green veins that stand out over pink, rose and cream in the spring. The slightly ruffled leaves are still variegated in summer, but mostly in shades of green. Fall color is deep red on blush pink. Protect from hot afternoon sun for best color. It is a small upright maple with an open and airy form.
Spring leaves are cream with deep green veins. Pink margins are more prominent in sunny locations. Leaves have sharply-pointed serration, giving a coarse appearance.
A. PALMATUM ‘PEACHES AND CREAM’ - is one of the clouded variegated maples. The foliage is pink with green veins and will change to mostly green later in summer.
Peaches and Cream is a small tree, which can be considered a dwarf with wonderful color throughout the growing season. The new growth ranges in color from cream to peach to rose pink on light green leaves. This cultivar has reticulated leaves – again the veins show prominently on each leaf. Summer color tones similarly show shades of light green with peachy overtones. Recommended sun exposure is in the morning with some shade protection in the hot afternoon sun. Fall colors show lemon yellow evolving to gold and light red. Estimated height in 10 years is 8′ with the ‘vase-like’ growth habit . This medium compact maple makes an excellent container plant for an outdoor deck or patio. Once established this cultivar is hardy to -20 degrees – USDA zone 5.

A rather delicate, compact shrub or small tree. Spring foliage is greenish cream with soft rosy-red edging and deep green veins. In fall the color is yellowish with dark tips.
Spring leaves emerge cream, to cream with green highlights. Pale rose-red at tips. Deep green, prominent veins round out the variegated patterns. Fall coloration is yellow with darker tips.
'Peaches and Cream' has leaves with a creamy white base and dark green veining. The tips and margins are rose-red, and remain pink-edged through summer. The leaves sometimes have a crinkly appearance to them. The color pattern of 'Peaches and Cream' resembles those of 'Shigatatsu sawa', the seed parent, and 'Beni shigatatsu sawa', the pollen source. Arnold Teese of Yamina Rare Plants, Australia, developed this cultivar in 1976, and registered it several years after observation. This delicate tree will reach 5-10 feet tall in 10 years. 'Peaches and Cream' needs protection from hot sun.
Palmatum Group -variegated - This is a very recent introduction. The big attraction here is the impressive leaves that are reticulated in green, white, and pink. Shrubby growth habit and lots of thickly ranked leaves along each branch and twig make this a compact tight plant that will grow to about 10' tall and wide after 20 years. This was a seedling of 'Reticulatum' discovered in 1980 at Yamina Rare Plants in Australia.

Cream to green with pink tips, distinct green veins, fall color green-gold, good in containers. zones 5-9
It is the spring color of the leaves that has people excited about this plant; I saw it in the Oregon sun this summer and it was great; I was afraid that it would burn horribly, but it kept a lot of color; I gather it will tend to stay small: 6-8'. Zone 6
Another reticulated form that almost defies photography. "Creamy" and "Peachy" are two of many hues of white, green, red, and apricot. Changes from lighter colors to darker across the summer, then the reds come back in fall. SUPER!!

PALMATUM, variegated. Collectors take note of this exciting variegated maple from Australia! It is a cross between 'Shigitatsu sawa' and 'Aka shigitatsa sawa'. Spring leaves boast a cream color with rose-red covering. The reticulated green veins give fascinating texture to the lighter base color. Leaves turn yellow in the fall. Upright and compact.
