Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This lovely shrub makes a 4-6' somewhat pendulous mound of lush, bright-green leaves edged with shades of orange in the spring with the foliage becoming flecked with cream in summer. The showy foliage deepens to rich shades of yellow to orange in fall. This is a fine choice for landscape or container. PSh/M
Light-green spring leaves are edged with orange and red. By summer, leaves are green with small yellow spots. Fall brings yellow and orange colors.
New green leaves emerge with orange and red edging. The flecking and fine dots are cream to yellow. Fall colors begin as yellow and then turn orange. This small tree is good for containers and makes a nice showing on a patio or poolside. Photo taken in late May.
Acer palmatum 'Koshibori nishiki' - A sand variegated Japanese Maple. Leaves are a basic green with orange and red margins. The fine dots of variegation are of yellow on the green. Can cover entire leaf or just be around. Good for Bonsai
This is considered a variegated maple but sometimes it is really hard to see as it is more a dusting of white or yellow. It will get maybe 6' in ten years.
PALMATUM, variegated. What a beauty, with the small new leaves edged in orange in spring! This delightfully variegated, almost dwarf cultivar has delicate specks of yellow on the green foliage in summer and develops a slightly cascading habit as it matures. An excellent small tree for the patio. Beautiful in the fall with a melange of yellows and oranges. Both desirable and rare in cultivation.
