We purchased this variety because of the supposed yellow-and-green striped bark. Well it does have some, you just have to look for it! Green leaves with yellow fall color, also a nice narrow upright form.
AMOENUM, green. A strong, upright habit that is one of the largest of the palmatums. Its unusual bark sets it apart in this group. It is green with a yellow tone that has striations and irregular streaks running lengthwise on the branches. The leaves are bright green in spring with red tips. Fall colors are pale orange to yellow.
