Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Five completely separate feathery sections connected only by the stem make the leaves of this 6-12' upright tree not only unique but extremely attractive; finely textured with soft yellow and orange fall color. S-PSh/M
Acer palmatum 'Hagoromo' - Shrub like Japanese Maple with feathery leaves. Leaves green with one lobe that is serrated. Leaves turn a dark purple before red for fall color. Grows almost as wide as tall. Fun tree for Bonsai.
Hagoromo is unique because the leaves have no petiole so they are in whorls around the stem each coming off on a different plane. I have never seen a large plant, but I imagine that it would be beautiful, at least in the fall.
OTHER, green. Unusual dark green leaves have 3-7 lobes, deeply divided and joined at the stem, giving this palmatum a graceful, feathery foliage cover. The margins of each lobe are incised; each portion twists and curves to suggest its name in Japanese, a "dress worn by angels." Fall colors are a blend of yellows and oranges in light tones.
