This grafted dwarf maple is a lovely pink in the spring – turning to light green in the summer. Fall color is hot pink to crimson red. Coral Pink cannot tolerate full sun without burning. Morning sun with afternoon shade is preferred.Estimated height in 10 years is 6’ tall by 4’ wide. Pruning is the key to get the look you want. With continual pruning you can create a tight maple that will hold its shape for years to come. Others like the more open tree-like formation which requires minimum pruning. This maple is hardy to -10 degrees, USDA zone 6. Can be potted into an ornamental container or planted in the garden. If potted the maple can be moved to an unheated garage or shed for winter protection.

This unique dwarf cultivar has small palmate leaves, which emerge coral and pink in spring, changing to a nice green for the summer with coral edges on new growth. This variety is ideal for container and bonsai culture.
DWARF, green. This slow-growing upright has a great deal of seasonal interest. It emerges in spring with bright coral-pink foliage that becomes pale yellow with a pink edge and then turns light green with gray-green mottled variegation in early summer. Afternoon sun protection should be provided in warmer climates. Because of its low chlorophyll count, it can be difficult to propagate. It is well worth waiting to find.
