A stately, upright Japanese Maple. Brown-red leaves feature attractive lime-green mid veins. The Japanese name means "red umbrella."
Beni gaza has lovely large red noticeably toothed leaves; its shape is upright but broadening out with age to maybe 8' tall and almost as wide. Could be interesting in a container.
PALMATUM, red. A cultivar similar to 'Kinran' with slightly larger leaves with conspicuous, sharply pointed teeth on a horizontal branching plant. Very nice red, orange and yellow fall color.
