Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The winter shoots of this rare 15-25' tree turn a rich glowing coral striped with white making it a must for the winter garden! In summer, it features large, handsome, bright-green leaves and green-striped bark giving it a most attractive summer look as well. Autumn dresses this tree is bright golden leaves; there isn't a season where this tree does not shine! This tree is also very-winter hardy and tolerant of high-humidity. S-PSh/M
Green leaves appear each spring and turn a pleasing yellow in the fall. Certainly the best viewing for this tree though is during those drab winter months! Brilliant pink and red bark with thin, light gray stripes greet you each day. A real winter showpiece.
Smaller than species, but similar in form and leaf, this tree in winter has stunning red and white striped bark which does not diminish with age (as in A.p.Sangokaku) Very rare as it is difficult to propagate. Zone 4.
The "Moosewood" is a striped bark maple from Pennsylvania similar to Acer davidii, hersi, etc. Main difference is that 'Erythrocladum' has startling brilliant red bark in winter. Still a rare tree because of its slow growth and difficulty of grafting.
