Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Appropriately named, this slow-growing, sub-alpine fir literally becomes a green globe. Its short, soft, green needles and rounded habit make a fantastic ball in a mid-sized garden.
Introduced by Verkade in 1979 and mistakenly listed as a concolor, it is now considered a lasiocarpa cultivar. This forms a nice semi dwarf green ball.
DWARF. This is a very valuable plant with beautiful gray-green needles. Suitable for a rock garden or just to vary the interest in a border.
