Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A compact, globose fir with bright blue foliage. Found in Germany as a witch's broom on 'Blauer Pfiff'. It makes a nice substitute for Abies procera 'Blaue Hexe' which has proven difficult to grow.
Abies koreana 'Blauer Eskimo' - A miniature Korean Fir. An unusual shade of gray-green needles provide the back drop for the plentiful resin covered buds on this conifer, The flat needles are spirally arranged on short, light colored shoots forming a uniform, tight, globe-shaped plant. An excellent rock garden addition that enjoys full sun and moist well-drained soil.
MINIATURE. Great texture on this blue-green plant from Europe that will reach about 1' high eventually in s pyramid form. We are told that the color is due to the seed being treated with cobalt. Very nice.
