Rich, steel-blue foliage on this upright, pyramidal conifer is an outstanding color, akin to that of many Noble Firs but uncommon for Abies balsamea. Found at a Christmas tree plantation in New Hampshire.
This tree is similar to the species. This Balsam Fir is typical to the species in being a conical tree, but unique with its blue foliage.
A compact, pyramidal conifer with distinctive very blue foliage. Soft, lush, non-glittery appearance provides distinction and color throughout the year. Prefers full sun in well-drained soil. 6' tall x 4' wide in 10 years. Hardy to -50 degrees.
