Nursery contributed plant descriptions

An old variety selected at the Oxford Botanic garden way back in 1870, the large pale blue flowers have endured rather well and I still find it one of the best growers. ZONE 4
Large pale lavender blue flowers, floriferous. Spreading, easy to grow "filler" for the woodland garden or in front of a shady border. Prefers moist, humusy soil but tolerates drier soil in summer as they are then dormant.
Blooms: spring, blue-lavender, single/ deciduous, clumping groundcover Zone 4-9. 6", Europe, part shade-shade, moist-dry, well drained
Nice European woodlander which creeps about making very dense patches of ferny foliage fairly covered in sumptuous mid blue flowers in spring. This is perfect as low groundcover under Rhododendrons or larger Hostas. Decent soil in shade that is moisture retentive.
Large lavender-blue flowers with grayish reverse seem to float above deeply incised foliage. Easy and rewarding 6" tall and slowly spreading.Minimum temperature: -30° F
