This species from Sichuan has always held a certain fascination for me. It doesn't have the biggest truss or the most colorful flowers or the best bark or the brightest new growth. What it does have in spades is class, pure and simple. Long narrow leaves held just so and an upright habit with white flowers touched in pink and all evocative of a somber aristocracy.
