Nursery contributed plant descriptions

NOT your typical old-fashioned snowball plant. Like sister Annabelle, Bounty has beautiful green and off-white fluffy large rounded blooms that bloom May till the first hard frost. Petals are smaller, leaves are larger and the habit is more compact than its sister. We fell in love with this lovely specimen and couldn't wait to make enough to sell! Blooms hold up well in the sunny northern gardens, too.
We've seen the species on the Blue Ridge Parkway back East which was great fun. It always grew in dappled light and often on banks overlooking small watercourses. 'Bounty' is a selection with large mophead white flowers but not so large that the stems flop. This fits easily into the woodland or wild garden where it is not favored by the deer.
