Delosperma Lavender Ice is a broadleaf semi-evergreen groundcover cactus / succulent with green foliage. In spring and summer lavender flowers emerge. Features glaucous texture. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and even moisture - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer. Does well in average, clay, gritty and well-drained soil.

A striking groundcover, this succulent mat-former is only 3" tall but wide-spreading to two feet, green during the warm weather before turning deep-purple for winter. Summer into fall finds this tough groundcover covered with iridescent lavender-pink, purple eyed flowers! Very attractive to butterflies, and hummingbirds and makes an excellent alternative to a lawn (only light foot-traffic). S/M-D/GDr
Lavender Ice is a colour breakthrough in Delosperma with iridescent lavender daisies with a darker lavender eye and a yellow centre. The tidy green foliage turns purple in winter. Ice plants are long-blooming and carefree succulent mat-forming perennials similar to sedums that thrive in heat, drought and nearly any well-drained soil. Very hardy but should be protected from winter wet either with very well drained soil or in the rainshadow of a house or other structure. Great in containers. Deer resistant.
